Whether your cycling interests lean towards cruising the Kancamangus or a track day at NHIS, Absolute PowerSports has the bike for you. We carry the two largest selling brands of motorcycles in the world—Honda and Yamaha. And even though there’s still lots of snow left on the ground it’s not too early to think about that new bike for 2008. Our riding season here in New England is too short to take a chance on missing out on any of those unexpected early spring days that are just perfect for a ride, so stop by now and check out the many new models for 2008.
If touring is your cycling love, then the Honda Gold Wing is the bike for you, but of course we don’t need to tell you that now, do we? Absolute already has several 2008 Gold Wings in the store with several more on their way before spring. Not ready for a Gold Wing? Check out the VTX1300. With the huge selection of Honda Genuine Accessories, you can customize your VTX to perfectly match your personal style.
Looking for something sportier? Check out the CBR600R, the hottest sportbike on the planet. AMA Formula Extreme Champion and World Superbike Champion the CBR600R is light, powerful, fast, and fun. And for those of you that would rather play in the dirt there’s Honda’s ever popular CRF series. From the CRF50F to the CRF230F, Honda has the perfect off-road bike for every member of the family, including the CRF450R for those of you who would prefer to race than just ride.
Looking for a truly custom cruiser with the reliability and power of a Yamaha? Then check out Star. Since its introduction in 1996, Star has made its mark in the custom cruiser market. New for 2008 is the Raider. Chopper inspired but built for performance, the Raider with its fuel-injected 113 cubic inch V-twin engine is pure performance disguised as a chopper. If you haven’t seen this bike yet, check it out in the Showroom, then stop in the store and see it up close and personal.
From Kenny Roberts multiple Championships in the 70s and 80s to Valentino Rossi—7-time World Champion—Yamaha has dominated the road racing world for over 50 years. Nothing drives performance like racing and nobody brings race-winning technology to the street better than Yamaha. Leading the field for 2008 is the YZF-R6, the fastest, most fun to ride, track-ready production 600 that money can buy. The improvements made to the ’08 R6 are too many to list but they all add up to a bike that is higher revving, has a broader power band and sharper handling than any previous R6. Like the style and performance of the R6 but prefer to rack up your miles on the road instead of on the track? Then check out the YZF-R6S. It’s got all the power and go-fast features of the racier R6 just tuned for street speeds.
And not to be left behind in the dirt, Yamaha has introduced an all new XT250 for 2008. The XT transmission remains the same but a powerful new single-cylinder engine cranks out max torque at just 6,500 RM and max power just 1,000 RMP later. A new frame, new suspension and a host of other upgrades make the XT250 the perfect bike for riding around the corner for a quart of milk or down the road and out of town for some off-road exploring.
